the hurricane map

by Justin Manus

Rick is in Miami Fl. He is middle aged, not that big, black hair blue eyes and works at the National Hurricane Center and is top-paid as director.

The Hurricane Map: The hurricane map is a thin piece of plastic with a grid on it. To any one it looks like a piece of over-head projector paper but in the lower right hand corner is a small, and I mean small green dot. When you push the dot it lights up and a map of the eastern coast of the U.S and the western coast of Europe and Africa appear. He must first go looking for clues that will lead him to the generator of hurricanes. Rick grabs his map of the hurricane generator off his counter and rushes off to the National Hurricane Center, where he works. When Rick arrives at the National Hurricane Center, Rick spreads the map out on his desk and presses the small green dot. Blinking red dots appear and indicate where he can find clues leading to the hurricane generator. Instead of the map being of Earth, Rick notices that it is a much larger map, it is a map of the solar system.

The blinking red dots appear on Jupiter, Venus, and Earth. Rick taps one of the red dots on Jupiter. It magnifies and brings up a view of the orbital patterns of Jupiter's 64 moons. Io, one of Jupiter's moons, has a red dot on it. When Rick taps the red dot, a map of the surface of Io appears.

He clicks back to the solar system view and taps earth and a map of earth's surface appears with one blinking red dot, which indicates the clue that leads to the location of the Hurricane Generator. He clicks on it and brings up a map of Germany and decides to go to Germany for the first clue. He looks a box at the bottom of the map that the clue is in a riddle. He goes to Germany he sees that the clue is in the Black Forest. When he gets there, he finds a small booklet with a riddle that says, "In the Marilyn's of the King, the door opens wide." From a geography class in college, Rick knows that the hills of England are call the Marilyn's. The door must be a cave of some sort. He hikes among the hills of England for 30 miles and finds a cave just where he thought it would be. He goes into the cave and finds the Hurricane Generator.

He clicks back to the solar system view and taps earth and a map of earth's surface appears with 4 blinking red dots. Then he goes to his boss and says that he that he needs to go to Saudi Arriba and get a clue that will lead him to the Hurricane generator. So he spends the time studding the hurricane map. When the U.S army finds out about the hurricane generator they express great interest in finding the hurricane generator, because during a battle controlling an unlimited amount of hurricanes is a tactual advantage. So he says yes, he will help them find it for them. So while flying on a c-130 plane to Germany he studies the map,

He notices a box at the bottom saying that each clue is in a riddle. He goes to Germany he sees that the clue is in the Black Forest. When he gets there, he finds a small booklet that has a riddle on it. While staying the night he gets a tip from the CIA about the Russians sending agents to find the hurricane generator. The agents will get to the same place that Rick is the next day. So he decides to send a probe to Venus to collect the last clue. He launches it to Venus and waits for the probe to return. The next day, he gets up, eats breakfast and quickly leaves the place he was staying. When he gets outside he sees a small red parachute slowly descending. The probe! He rushes over and opens the small heat shield and gets a small device containing the last data on the generator's position it's in the hills of England. While driving to an seaport, in the middle of Europe on the border of France and Germany, he sees a black car flowing him he gets out a small radio to single a helicopter. Butt it's not working so he speeds up on the highway after about 50miles he loses them in a traffic back up. So he turns in to a small abandoned factory where a helicopter is whiting. So they take of and find the hurricane generator. The load it onto a cargo ship with a Navy escort. But half way there, a small explosion takes place, ruptures the hull beyond repair. The ship sinks so they need to get back to the United States for a megastucture to lift the entire ship up.
