One sunny afternoon Sharron was walking along the beach. The wind blowing in her long blond hair. She was enjoying her new home in Hawaii. She loved the warm weather and the beautiful clear blue water. Sharron had never lived outside of Canada before. This was very exciting for her. Her big blue eyes admired the different trees, birds and animals. At the age of 15, Sharron was looking forward to making new friends.
Sharron really missed her best friend Ellen. School was starting and Sharron didn't know anybody. Sharron couldn't believe it when she walked in the class room and saw Ellen. She was very excited to see her but couldn't undrestand what Ellen was doing in Hawaii. Ellen and her family also moved to Hawaii that summer because her dad started a new job there, Sharron was so happy to have her best friend with her again.
The girls decided to go swimming on Saturday afternoon. Ellen walked over to Sharron's house and they went to the beach. They both love swimming and had a wonderful day together.
They both couldn't wait for next weekend to go to the beach again. The week flew by like a flash. The two best friends met each other once more at the beach. This time while swimming they saw a shark!
Frightened, they ran inside Sharron's house and accidently knocked over a lamp smashing it on the floor, revealing a map that was inside it!
They decided to follow the map but they couldn't make out the writing. The map told them to go in the water but they didn't want to because of the shark, so they tried going around the island without going in the water.
The girls then stumbled upon a big house and were going to knock on the door but there was a sign that read: "ENTER AT OWN RISK!"
Sharron and Ellen decided to go in the house. They started walking around the big empty rooms and hallways. Both girls were very tired, so they sat down on the floor. They heard a big scream!!! The scream came from outside the house. Sharron and Ellen tried to find their way back out. They couldn't even find a door.
"What now?" said Ellen
"Let's lopk at the map for clues out of here." said Sharron.
The map had a star were the library of the huge house was located. Below the star was written "Treasure Island." They walked down the hall to the library.
"What are we looking for?"asked Ellen.
"Let's look for a book of treasurwe island, it might give us a clue." said Sharron.
She reached for the book and a secret door opened and brought Sharron outside. Both girls screamed, they were scared without each other.

Ellen picked up a book and it was titled "Secret Passageways." She started reading the book and it told her how to get where Sharron was. Ellen read the instruction and made her way outside but she only found Sharron's shoe.
Ellen then found the map and read the message on the back, "If you come through the secret passageway you will get captured."
Sharron found a way out, then they ran home and realized the map was the treasure!
