Emily Smith lives in Texas. Emily is very, very BAD! Emily has a horse because her Mom and Dad have a horse ranch. She has a dog named Shadow and a cat named Bell. Emily likes to do pranks. Her favorite prank is to put pink paint over the door, and when you open the door the paint will fall on you. Emily is turning eight today. She invited Zak for a party.
Zak and Emily are best friends. Zak is extremely BAD like Emily. Zak's favorite prank is taking half of a watermelon and throwing it from three stories up onto someone's head. He has blond hair and blue eyes. He is skinny and he is an only child. He is eight years old. Zak is taller than Emily and lives two minutes away from her.
The party was over and Zak went home, he was the only one invited. Emily was not happy. She wanted her cousin, so her Mom went and got him to stay for a month. His name is Louis, but everyone calls him Lou. He met Zak, and Zak liked Lou better than Emily because Lou is a boy and Emily is a girl.
Emily got very mad at Zak because Emily and Zak have been friends since they were in diapers. Zak and Emily decided one of us needs to leave town, so Emily said "I will with Lou, Mom, and Dad." They are going to Los Fresnos because Elvis' birthday party is in January. After the party, Emily went to South Padre Island which is 22 miles away. She was playing with Lou and Emily's mom and dad decided to stay until the Rodeo in February, so Emily can be in it. Emily got so excited she was thinking of inviting Zak.
Emily was thinking about inviting Zak over for the rodeo because it was in four days. Emily is excited for the rodeo. She met her opponent, his name is Rick. Emily did not like him because he looked hard to beat.
Emily and Zac were trying to think of a plan to cheat. She was getting ready and she found a book in the stall. She did not know what it was doing in the stall so she picked it up and looked at it. It had a nice brown velvet cover and gold letters.
Emily opened the book and looked at the table of contents. She saw that there was a Cinderella story. Emily went to that story and the Evil Stepmother popped out of the book. Emily did not know what to think about it. Then she thought since the Evil Stepmother popped out, maybe she would do Emily a favor. She thought maybe Evil Stepmother would help her to cheat since she and Zac could not.
When Emily asked her she said she would help, she said, "I can help you cheat, it will be fun to cheat. While you are wishing him good luck, I will sneak up beside him and undo his saddle. When his horse starts running his saddle will fall off. It will be great stuff."
"OH NO! It is his turn now!" Emily said good luck to him and Evil Stepmother unlocked his saddle, Rick fell off. When he fell off the horse got hurt and it was not good.
It was Emily's turn and she was better than she thought she was. She was thinking she was so good she did not need Evil Stepmother. Emily said the Evil Stepmother, "Go back in the book, I do not need you."
The judges are deciding who won. Then the judges announce, "The winner is....Emily Smith." Emily won $30,000.00. Emily was thinking that she has all of this money now they will be able to go to Lipscomb. Emily asked her Mom and Dad. They said, "If you pay for it."
"If I pay for it, I can invite Lou and Zak."
"Yes, you can."
So everyone got into the car and went to Lipscomb.Wehn they got there, they went to the hotel. Emily started to read the book and Grumpy popped out of it. Emily said, "Who are you?"
"I am Grumpy from Snow White. Who are you?"
"I am Emily Smith. Hey, Grumpy, do you want to go and do pranks on Zak, my best friend? I will if you do not want to."
"I will."
"We can do the pink paint prank. Do you know that one?"
Grumpy said, "Yes, I do." So they got pink paint and hung it by the door. Zak went to the door and he decided to go through the window instead. Lou went into the door and pink paint fell on him. Emily could not help laughing. Lou saw her and went to tell her mom and dad. Emily got into a lot of trouble, and Grumpy jumped into the book again.
Emily started reading the book and Pocahontas popped out to play. Pocahontas and Emily were talking for a while, then Pocahontas said, "I should be getting back." Emily said, "Okay."
Pocahontas tried to jump into the book, but it would not let her. Pocahontas started to talk to Emily, she said, "I have work to do here. I have been watching you and I do not like what you have been doing. I want you to be nice to everyone, OK?" Emily said, "OK." Three days later Pocahontas tries to jumped into the book.
Emily started reading the book again and Cinderella popped out. Emily and Cinderella were playing together for a while. Cinderella said, "Emily, you could be a very nice and pretty girl." Emily said she should go now, so Cinderella left.
****3 Months Later****
Emily was walking around the house and Zak told Emily, "You have been really nice." Emily just kept walking. The next day Emily's mom and dad said, "Emily you are not being mean."
Emily said, "I have two friends to thank for that, Cinderella and Pocahontas. That is all I can tell you."
