The book is black in color and medium sized. It is thick because it has one hundred pages. The book was found in a haunted house in the woods. It was in the basement of the house. The book could talk and it smelled very old. Some of the pages were missing from the book. It was written in the 1600's.
The book is located in a basement of a house which is in the woods. The basement has dirt floors and wood walls. It is dark in this basement but when you turn on the light you can see thousands of books.
The house is on Wake Island in the North Pacific Ocean. The weather is tropical and the nights are busy. The island is not heavily populated and there is a United States military presence. There are not many animals but ocean fish and creatures are plentiful off the beaches. The house has no owner right now. It is abandoned.
Elizabeth
This is the girls who found the book. Her name is Elizabeth and her nickname is Beth. She's from the ocean on a boat. She is very pretty and has brown hair and blue eyes. She doesn't have any parents. Her parents were killed on a boat in the storm. She is fifteen years old and she has a lot of money. She is very, very nice. She is smart, too. She likes to wear dresses but sometimes pants. She has a pet parrot. He helps her out by giving her directions. The parrots name is Tum Tum. She gave him that name because he is always hungry.
There is one other person on the boat. Downstairs, she doesn't know, it's her brother, Mike, who she thought was dead, too. He had been hiding all this time because he didnt know who was upstairs and he was afraid. Mike is seventeen years old and has blue eyes and light brown hair. He is nice, too.
One day Beth was going downstairs to get a drink and she saw him and fainted. Two hours later her brother woke her up and she screamed, "Oh my gosh, it's my brother, Mike!" She went over and hugged him. Beth could not believe he was alive. She thought he had been killed in the storm too. Mike could not believe Beth was alive either. Beth asked him if he would like some tea or coffee and he said yes. She then thought he might be hungry so she cooked him some fish. They then sat down to eat. As they were eating they talked about all the memories of their past especially the stories of their parents.
Elizabeth was then curious of what Mike ate all that time he had been downstairs in the bottom of the boat. Mike said he ate bananas and lettuce that was stored there. Elizabeth thought to herself that he must be sick of lettuce and bananas because he had been down there for three months and she couldnt believe she didnt know that.
After dinner, they played instruments and made music together. Beth played piano and Mike played guitar.
Alexis
Alexis is another character in the story. She lives on Wake Island one half of a mile from Elizabeth's house. Alexis is a nice person and does acts of kindness. When Alexis meets Elizabeth, later on in the story, she will like her. Alexis has blond hair and brown eyes. Poor little Alexis has no siblings at all. Alexis is fourteen and her father's name is Dominick. Dominick is nice too. Alexis is very smart and knows how to read and write well. Alexis' mother's name is Emily.
Emily is friendly and a good mom.
Elizabeth and Mike were still on their boat traveling. It was a dark and windy night. They were both getting ready for bed. As soon as they fell asleep, Elizabeth dreamed that she lived in Hereford, Texas. She and Mike lived in a big mansion about a fourth mile away from their neighbors. They have two neighbors, Zak and Emily. One fall day, they go to meet them. Elizabeth thinks their both bad because they are being disrespectful and calling her names.
After awhile, they all have gotten to know each other better and Elizabeth and Zak and Emily begin to trust each other. Emily and Zak bring a look to the house to show Elizabeth. It is not an ordinary book. It is a magic book of fairy tales. Emily said characters pop out of the book. The color is a velvet brown color. It has gold letters on it. Zak gave the book to Elizabeth. She opened the book and she woke up our of her dream.
