Legend on Ice

Ability: Singing Skater

It was she who won the Nationals. It was she who won the Olympics. And it was she who won the World Title. Her name was Hera Jones. She sang beautiful songs as she skated at the same time. Born into a family of 4 kids (including herself), she started walking at 1 and skating at 5. She always won. Never was there such a girl in history like Hera. At 12 yrs old she won the Olympics. Everybody talks about her and will always talk about her for she is a legend on ice.

"Mom I'm leaving" Hera shouted from the doorway.

"Ok honey I'll be there by seven," Mrs.Jones called back.

"Mom we're going with her," Hera's sisters shouted from the doorway.

No answer. "Mom?" Kanillada said.

"OK,OK!" Mrs.Jones said.

So off they went. "Can I drive?" Kanillada asked.

"NO," De said. (De is short for Demenalla.)

"Please?"

"OK,OK!"

Hera rolled her eyes. They were always fighting over who was going to drive.

"We have to pick up Andreas and Beyonce," Hera mentioned.

"And lunch!" Kanillada said.

Finally after picking up the two companions and stopping at Taco Bell they got to the arena. Getting out of the car they went in.

There were only a few people in the arena so Hera intended on getting right on the ice. But when she went to get her ice skates from the locker they were gone!

"Beyonce? Have you seen my skates?" Hera asked.

"No, why are they missing?" she replied.

"Of course. That's why I asked," Hera said. She looked at Andreas.

"No, really, I didn't take them! I don't joke like that," he said.

"Ok, I'll call Mom." But Mom didn't have them either.

Hera remembered when Stellinia had been in the hall closet doing something. What was she doing? She had called her name but Stellinia had looked back and hurried off. Hera knew Stellinia had seen and heard her, too!!

"Hera?" Andreas was waving a hand in her face. "Are you there?"

Hera came back to the present world.

Girls had started to arrive. Stellinia was one of them. She passed by where they were standing. "Something wrong?" She asked with a smirk.

"Hera lost all her stuff, her dress, her ice skates..." Beyonce blurted out before anyone could stop her.

"Beyonce!" Hera hissed.

"I'm so sorry," Stellinia said sarcastically.

Just then Kanillada and Demenalla ran up and said, "We looked everywhere, they're gone!"

Stellinia smirked and walked off saying, "It's too bad you can't compete."

The five companions stood speechless. "Come on, let's look!" Beyonce broke the silence. So they did.

About two hours later they all met at the center of the arena. Hera felt that Stellinia had defeated her. 8 girls were on the ice but Stellinia wasn't and people were arriving by the hundreds.

"Hold on, Hera, I might just..." Beyonce's voice was drowned out by the speaker.

"Welcome to the Pre-National Championships (interrupted by cheering). Which of the skaters here tonight will make it to the Championships? At the end of the night everyone will get something, the first prize winner $1000 and second prize winner$500 and third prize winner will get $250 and the rest will get $100. Thank you all for coming and I hope you enjoy the show!!"

Another voice called Sarah Hughes to the ice.

Beyonce had slipped away while this was going on. She peeked behind a corner to see if anyone was there. Then she saw Stellinia - she had Hera's dress snd skates!!

Stellinia saw Beyonce and started running. Beyonce ran after her. Beyonce was quicker because Stellinia had skates on. Beyonce trapped Stellinia and grabbed the dress and skates. They were pulling for about 30 seconds but finally after kicking, biting, wrestling, and scratching, Beyonce renched the things from Stellinia and started running. Stellinia ran after her but tripped on the skatelace of her boots. Beyonce just kept running. Hearing Stellinia come after her she ran faster until she came to where Hera was standing.

"Where did you find them?" Hera asked.

"No time to explain, just get into these things and be off with you," Beyonce said.

Hera hurried but not enough.

"Will Hera Jones please come into the ice arena," the announcer said three times.

Finally Hera came onto the ice.

Never had anyone seen or performed such a flawless performance.

She finished with a big smile on her face, with a 6.0, the highest score, from all the judges.

Hera had plenty of reason to smile.

Hera went and got changed in the locker room. She then heard sniffling. Hera turned the corner and found Stellinia crying. Hera was so surprised she said "oh,". Stellinia then looked up and said "oh!" also. Hera didn't know what to do or where to go so she sat down by Stellinia.

"Are...um...you...er...okay?" Hera asked.

"Uh does it look like I'm okay?" Stellinia snapped.

"No. Maybe I can help,"Hera said slowly.

"No ,you can't" Stellinia said shortly.

"Well maybe you could tell me what's wrong," Hera encouraged.

"Ok,my dad lost his job,and we have to move to a poorer part of town. We live on welfare and I'm going to have to quit skating lessons so we can put more food on the table. I get my costumes from the Salvation Army, they aren't even real costumes, my mom makes them out of dresses they have there and make them into skating costumes for me. I needed the money you won,so I could keep up with skating lessons, and put food on the table,so by taking your dress and skates and hiding them, first I wouldn't have to worry about me competing against you, and second I would of had a new pretty outfit to wear.I am so so sorry all this happened," Stellinia finished.

"Oh my!" was all Hera could say. Of course she knew Stellinia had taken her stuff.

But she didnt know she had all these problems.

"Oh but why didn't you tell me? My dad could have offered you a job from the business my grandpa owns, and you could move from Roosevelt and-"Hera said breathlessly.

"Oh would he!" Stellinia's eyes lit up.

"Oh of course he would." Hera said.

Just then Andreas and Beyonce ran up

"Oh Hera we have been looking for you everywhere...uh...-" Beyonce trailed off when she saw Stellinia standing behind Hera.

"I just offered Stellinia a job!" Hera said smiling.

"Boy are we happy!" Andreas said

And so Mr..Spiro got a job from Mr. Jones and soon Mr.. Spiro made a business of his own. He made enough to move his family out of Roosevelt, Long Island, but by then Mrs.. Spiro had had it with New York. So the Spiro's moved from Long Island, from New York, and moved to New Hampshire,Keene NH,where he set up his business there. Stellinia said a tearful goodbye to her friend Hera and left. Stellinia kept up with her ice skating and also went to the Olympics to win a silver medal, Hera won the Gold.

Hera ice skated until the age of twenty-eight. After that she became an FBI agent ,but after going on a dangerous mission she went back to ice skating. She then married Andreas. And after that she just taught ice skating.

Andreas went on and got degrees in every subject he took. He then became a lawyer,but didn't like that. He got married to Hera and then opened up a restaurant.

Beyonce became a very famous singer. She went to Hollywood, Las Vegas, Las Angeles, London, and a whole lot of other places. But no matter where she went she always kept in touch with Hera. Beyonce then went onto an acting career. But Beyonce's plans were wrecked when she got into a plane crash on the way to London and broke both her legs. After that Beyonce stayed at home and wrote songs from there. And so we will end with a happy ending...life was good!
