Jeremy Smith is your average kid. He is ten years old, has brown hair, blue eyes, and is a little bit short of 5 feet tall. His hobbies are baseball cards, and video games. His favorite sports are soccer, baseball, and football. He has lots of friends at school and is a fun person to be around. He is pretty much just like you and me except for one thing, he is a superhero.

His powers enable him to run at ferociously fast speeds up to 100 m.p.h., he can bilocate( which means he can be in to places at one time), he can do all kinds of flips, run up vertical walls, he has a sharp eye for danger, and has quick reflexes. In his mind and body things go ten times slower than the rest of us, which enables him to run at high speeds and have fast reflexes. His house has a secret lab 20 floors under his house where his friend and scientist helper Professor Twinkletoes helps him with crime fighting by giving all kinds of helpful gadgets. Professor Twinkletoes is a 500 pound man who loves helping him ever since Hyperkid saved his daughter. Jeremy's superhero name is Hyperkid. He fights villains in downtown LA.

Hyperkid just woke up from a phone ringing.

He looked at his alarm clock and it read 3:00 A.M. Hyperkid thought who in the heck would be calling at three o'clock in the morning? He answered the phone and heard Professor Twinkletoes's voice. Professor Twinkletoes said I just set up the internet sight about an hour ago and we are already getting e-mails from people asking for help. Hyperkid answered saying, "What, and internet site, people asking for help?" Ahh! Now he remembered, they just started the internet site for crime fighting help. He wasn't quite awake yet. Professor Twinkletoes told Hyperkid to get dressed and get down to his lab A.S.A.P. Hyperkid full of energy ran to his suit and got dressed and went downstairs right away. While waiting as the elevator went down he started sweating because he was so nervous since this would be his first mission. When he arrived at the lab the Professor was waiting at the door to direct him. He gave him some of his newest gadgets! like the undergrounder, which was a tool that could dig at speeds up to 25 m.p.h., and the handheld helicopter, which at the touch of a button could turn into a black hawk. He told Hyperkid about who he was trying to stop. "The witnesses describe it as a three headed gopher," said the Professor. "He keeps digging through the medal safes and steals all of the money in the vault without anyone knowing or noticing." "You should just use your undergrounder to find him in his many maze like tunnels." "I just finished building your Hypermobile this morning." "So hop in and enjoy the ride." "I'll guide you through the whole process with your walkie talkie watch and your TV. intercom inside the Hypermobile," the Professor explained quickly. Hyperkid not having time to ask any questions was put in the Hypermobile. The Hypermobile was hot red with flames painted on the back, and was shaped like a corvette but it was just a bit more stylish. Hyperkid stuck the keys in and started the ! ignition. Now Hyperkid was finally starting to finally like the superhero business now that he could drive at the age of ten. The Professor slowly appeared on his navigation screen. The Professor gave him directions by saying first," First start the engine." Hyperkid replied by pushing on the gas pedal making the car go vvvvrrrrrrmmmm, vvvvrrrrmmmmmmmm. "I see your enjoying the car already, well get yourself strapped in you haven't even begun. The garage opened and hyperkid zapped out. "Now push the blue button. Hyperkid did and the Hypermobile turned into a jet airplane. The plane took off and reached its desired height. "Now I'm bringing you to the people's bank. There the police will bring you to the vault where the gopher made his hole. The plane arrived at the bank and the police brought Hyperkid to the vault just as the professor had said. Once he got to the hole the professor talked to him through his watch. "Now take out your undergrounder and press the red button." ! Hyperkid did this and off he went down the hole. "Now when you get to a point where pshhhhhhh you can't see psshhhhh turn on your flashlight pssshhhh because psshhhshh gopher likes to attack. pssshhhhh. Hyperkid confused replied," Professor I'm losing you please come back. There came no noise from the watch. "Do you read?" still no answer came from the watch. Hyperkid tried to go back up to the bank again but when he tried there was a cave in which stopped him. Hyperkid started getting nervous and turned the undergrounder back on so he could find a way out. Then he heard something behind him. Now he was getting really nervous since he was more of a runner and gymnastic kind of person. Not someone who fights in the dark underground. The noise was getting louder and louder which caused Hyperkid to get more and more nervous. He knew the gopher was chasing him.

Hyperkid woke up to find he was lying in an underground home. His arms were tied by rope but hyperkid could use his laser in his watch. He picked at his watch and eventually hit the button and got free from the ropes. He then looked around the house for some kind of way out. Then he heard from above some kind of alarm and something digging towards the home. He then knew the gopher was coming back from robbing another bank. Hyperkid then reached in his pocket to get his undergrounder out but found out it was gone along with all his other gadgets. He then used his speed to look around the house, but they were nowhere to be found. The gopher soon arrived from the ceiling with money bags in his hands. Happily he walked over to his secret vault and put his money in. Hyperkid observing the gopher saw all of his gadgets in the vault also. The gopher then turned around to visit his prisoner, but found that the ropes were cut. The gopher then started on his hunt around the dirt house looking for his prisoner. Clever Hyperkid ran behind the gopher and hit, punched, kicked and totally wiped out the gopher. The gopher then lay on the ground with his eyes closed. Hyperkid checking if he was still alive went over to see why he was lying there like that. Then the gopher came back to life punching Hyperkid and pulling his hair. He had Hyper kid trapped in a corner. The gopher then ready to kill him with his knife let him have his last words. "I understand why you're doing this. But before you kill me do you know any thing about the great pirate butterscotch's treasure is?" asked Hyperkid. "Butterscotches's treasure, heck yeah." I've been trying to find that treasure fore years." why do you know any thing about it?" said the gopher. "Well if you consider having the key, then yes." "You have the key?" "Yes, but I won't give it to you unless you give me back my gadgets," said Hyperkid. The gopher thought about it for a while then said, "How about I don't but instead I spare your life." said the gopher. "Sounds fair to me," said Hyperkid. The three headed ugly gopher let Hyperkid go. Then Hyperkid gave him a key. Hyperkid walked away and said, "Another days worth of work done."
