A Fiery Tale

There are creatures called Volcos that look like flames and fireballs. They can be different colors. They live in volcanos, on the sun and on hot planets. There's one Red Flame Volco who is the nicest flame you ever met. He lives in a volcano and his name is Blaze.

Blaze came out of his house (it was just a hole in the tround) with his dog, and his friend Fireball came out of his house and they waited for the magmobile to get warmed up. It was a nice day out. It was 600 degrees F. Blaze said "I think the magmobile should be ready," and it was.

They drove off to a park called Middle Park to go to a carnival called the Friendship Day Carnival. They went out on the road and their mail man (he is a star) walked by so Blaze stopped to say he.

"Hi Twinkle," said Blaze. "We're going to Middle Park.

"Me too," said Twinkle. "But I'm jogging. My car broke."

"Well, we can give you a ride." said Blaze.

"Thank you." said Twinkle. "I am very tired." So he hopped in.

They drove past a lake of fire. Of course for Volcos fire lakes are normal. They stopped to see one thing. They stopped to watch the volcano erupt from the inside. It erupted one mile from the carnival, and as soon as the eruption was done they drove as quick as they could. For the first time ever they were the first people there.

"I thought that we would be late because it took that volcano forever to erupt," said Blaze.

"Me too," said Flame.

They saw the mayor come out from his office and walk over to them. "Why are you still here?" he asked.

Blaze walked up to him and asked, "Where is every one else?" "You were late because you saw the volcano erupt," said Mayor Black.

"How did you know?" said Blaze.

"I did the same thing along time ago. You see, you should go out there at night because it's even better."

"Uhhh? Thank you but that doesn't have a thing to do what I asked. Where is everybody?"

"Oh, sorry. I have to close the carnival down because I'm running out of money to run it," said the mayor. "Hey, do you think you can find a way to get the town more money to run the carnival?"

"We can try," said Flame.

"Great! Great! How are you going to do it?"

"That I don't know, yet. But we'll think of something," said Flame.

The mayor thanked them, said goodbye, and left.

They all sat down and ordered some drinks and there were some Volcos there who overheard their talk with the mayor. One of Volcos walked over to them and said, "You need some money don't you?"

"Yeah, we really do," said Blaze.

"Take this map follow the instructions on it and you will be rich." He put the map on the table and walked away.

Everyone looked at the map for a little while and then they went off to the volcano exit. When they got there they saw a bunch of guards by the door. They hid behind some boulders and picked up some little rocks and threw them into the lava pit. All the guards went to see what it was. Blaze and his friends ran out as fast as they could and they made it.

"Yes! We are out," said Blaze.

"I always thought that clouds were white," said Flame.

"They are except for when it is about to rain, then they are gray like they are now," said Twinkle.

"What's rain?" asked Blaze.

"Oh, it's nothing but water falling from the sky," said Twinkle. And all of a sudden it started to sprinkle.

"Run for the trees!" shouted Blaze.

It rained for a whole hour.

"How are we going to get to the sun? It's so far away," said Flame.

"I have some friends that can carry you to the sun if you want," said Twinkle.

"That would be great, but how long will it take?" asked Blaze.

"Not more than ten or fifteen minutes." Twinkle flew to get his friends and he returned seven minutes later with them.

"Get on! No time to rest!" said Twinkle.

"I have one question. Does it rain in space?"

Twinkle laughed. "No, Blaze. It doesn't. Don't worry."

"What's that ahead of us?" asked Flame.

"I don't know," said Blaze. Oh that is a meteor shower."

"WHAT!" they all screamed.

Everyone knew that they couldn't turn back. But Blaze had an idea.

"What if we can melt them," said Blaze.

"I don't think you can do that but what if you knock them away from us with your fireballs?" said Twinkle.

"I like it. I think we should start at it right now," said Flame.

"Ruff ruff ruff ruff."

"Hey Blaze, do you think you can make your dog be a little bit quieter. I'm trying to think of another way out of this mess," said Flame.

"I will try but it's not going to be easy."

"Ruff ruff ruff ruff ruff."

"Oh, he thinks that we should start throwing fireballs right now because the meteor shower's HERE!!"

"Then its time to start throwing fireballs. Ready? Five four three lets just get on with it," said Flame.

Fireballs were flying but the fireballs didn't melt them or shoot them out in other directions but it did blow them up! Blaze and his friends got tired and they ended up just dodging them. But soon they started to blow up. All the meteors where destroyed! They could see someone far in the distance so they went to see if he was the destroyer of the meteors. They flew as fast as they could and everyone wanted to meet him. But before they got to him Blaze realized that it was his cousin the rare purple flame named Burny!

"Hey guys! I know who that is!" said Blaze. "It's my cousin!"

"Then I think we better start flying faster," said Twinkle.

"I guess so," Said Flame. "And Blaze, I can't see how you and him are relatives. You're not even the same color. He's not tall and you are. He doesn't have a dog. Every one in your family has a dog."

"First he's a rare purple flame. I'm not tall I'm the shortest one in the family and he just hasn't got a dog yet.

"Oh, sorry about that," said Flame.

"Guys, let's stop talking about family differences and lets start working on what's important," Said Twinkle. "Blaze has some fast star friends because I can barely keep up with him."

"Well, he's looking right at us so he knows we're following him," said Blaze. "And he's leading us right to the sun!"

"Now he's slowing down," said Blaze. Well Burny slowed down so much that he was right beside Blaze. "I know you are on a mission. I will be happy to help whenever you need it," said Burny. "How did you know that I'm on a mission?" asked Blaze? "What ever happens to one Volco village happens to the other so the mayor of both our villages try to keep in touch in case the other mayor has an idea that they both can use or they can tell the whole village about it so the village can think of an idea," said Burny. But what I don't understand is why go to the sun to get treasure. I mean there's lots of ways to get money on earth isn't there?" said Burny. "No there's not," said Fireball. When they finally got to the sun they started right away on trying to find the treasure. They were working for three hours when they decided to have a break so Blaze threw his shovel down but he didn't hear a big thump but a big ding so they all started digging and there it was, all the treasure! They took out their bags and filled them up and set them on Twinkle. They split the money, gave half the money to Burny and went to earth but Burny followed them all the way to earth in case of another meteor shower. They finally got to earth. They ran to the volcano and ran right through the doors but the guards saw them and thought they were trespassers. They out ran the guards and went right to the mayor's main office. "Hi, haven't seen you in a while," said the mayor. "Yea, I know. Oh, before I forget here's the money," said Blaze. The mayor started bouncing up and down." Thanks. You've saved the day! We can have friendship day for many years. How can we ever repay you?" "I think I'll take a hot lava bath and a nice comfy bed." And Blaze went home and did just that.

When he got home he felt so happy that he got himself a small plate of cookies to celebrate.
