My Trip to Earth by Medoriea

Date: July 13, 3000

Place: Medoriea's home, the palace on Krattak

I am Medoriea. I am a Krattan of the planet Krattak. I am 13 earth years old and 1.76 meters tall or about 5'8".

Datapad Entry 2

Date: July 3, 3000

Place: Launch pad on Krattak

I woke up the same as usual with KC (my droid) saying “It is time to get up Medoriea.” Then KC reminded me that we were going to earth today! The first thing that went through my mind was “ I have to pack.” I jumped out of bed and rushed to the panel next to my closet and pushed a button. The door slid open with a soft hiss. Mom and dad were obviously up late last night because my bags sitting in the middle of my closet were packed and ready to go. With packing out of the way I got dressed in my favorite silver and blue gown and went down to breakfast.

After breakfast, we were dismissed to get our friends. Altair (He is 15 earth years old.) immediately jumped up to get his land speeder. Rigel and Deneb (They are both 9 earth years.) were right behind Altair getting their hover boards. They were going to meet their friends Aneke and Cet somewhere. Capella (She is 6.) went to get her hover bike, so she could get Larissa. I took Mira (She is 3.) to get her friend Pandora and my friend Leda. But, before any of us could get very far, Mom told us to freeze. Everything stopped. She told us that we had to be back in 30 minutes and if we weren’t in the ship would leave without us.

Date: July 3, 3000

Place: The KPV Star Dragon

We all were able to get our friends and get back to the KPV Star Dragon in under 30 minutes. While we were away, Mom and Dad put our bags in the ship’s hold. As soon as we were back, our friends’ bags were put in the hold and everyone boarded. We sat down and buckled the crash webbing and took off. We headed straight for our star. This would enable us to sling shoot us out to space, so we could make the hyper-jump.

Date: July 3, 3000

Place: Landing pad on Earth

After “the jump,” we were allowed to unbuckle and move around freely.

KPV stands for Krattak Planetary Vessel. The Star Dragon is not as fierce as its name sounds. It has no weapons, but it has a strong energy shield protecting it. Just like all other space ships it is a round disk.

The landing was smooth. It is getting dark, so Mom and Dad rent a landspeeder and drive to our hotel. Mom and Dad are going to meet with the officials tomorrow and we get to go to Universal Theme Park 67 in Tanzania, Africa!

Part 3

Datapad Entry 5

Date: July 4, 3000

Place: Many Moons Hotel

We woke up and ate breakfast. When everyone was done, Mom and Dad left. Shortly after, we got into our transport and took off.

When we reached the gates, there was a large sign saying ‘COME TRY OUR NEWEST RIDE "SPACE EXPLORER".' When we saw that, we agreed it would be the first thing on the list of rides.

Date: July 4, 3000

Place: Many Moons Hotel

When we got there, KT (Mira's droid) went to an information desk nearby and asked about the Space Explorer ride. When KT returned, she reported back to us. She said that Space Explorer was a virtual reality starship where you could travel to nebula and see different planets. Katie said they warned her that the ride could have a glitch or two, because they had been having problems with that ride. We decided to take a chance, because we wanted to see some planets we had never seen before. But, Larissa had one more question before getting on the ride, "Can we fly low to see some things on the planets?" "Yes, but you cannot get off the ship." Katie answered. After hearing that, Larissa caught up with the rest of us. We all got on the ride, but the droids decided to stay behind. We visited a few planets and the nebula, Altair punched in some coordinates. "Where are we going?" asked Cet. "You'll see!" Altair answered. In a few minutes, we came out of hyperdrive near a small tan planet. "That's our planet." Pandora announced happily. "Yep," said Altair, "You're right." We were sitting in the ship when suddenly there was a flash of light and we saw a ship coming toward us. It flew close as if it did not see us. On it's hull were the words ‘KPV Star Dragon.' "That's our ship!" exclaimed Leda in surprise. I looked at my time piece, "That's funny," I said, "I could have sworn it is the 4th of July and not the 3rd."

Date: July 4, 3000

Place: Many Moons Hotel

"Where is it going?" Capella asked me after I had downloaded the coordinates. "To earth." I said.

After coming out of hyperspace around earth, we saw the Star Dragon heading for the same landing platform that we had landed on the day before. We landed next to the Star Dragon. Suddenly, Deneb noticed that Altair and Rigel were getting out of the Star Dragon. "How can Altair and Rigel be here and there at the same time? This is so weird!" I said. "We must be in some kind of time loop!" said Rigel. "Oh no! What are we going to do now?" Capella exclaimed.

Part 4

Datapad Entry 8

Date: July 5, 3000

Place: Medoriea's room - Krattat

Mira ran out of the ship, but the simulation didn't end. We watched ourselves do exactly what we did earlier. We watched ourselves walk up to the Space Explorer and then FLASH! We were back in the little ship around Krattat with the Star Dragon flying toward us. We must have gone through the loop 5 or 6 times before Rigel figured that if we stopped ourselves from going into the Space Explorer, the loop would stop. I got some paper and scribbled some words on it and stuck it to the door of the Space Explorer. The sign read: OUT OF ORDER. FLASH! We were back in normal time.
We finished our sight seeing and left for home the next morning.
