Darien's Wonder

Darien Samarai is a twelve year old boy who loves to play soccer. He lives in a big city called Vapor,in the year 3000. Darien is the newly crowned King of Vapor. His brother died when Darien was two years old and so when Dariens father died one month ago, Darien became the king. And his mother died when he was one year old.

Darien relies on General Hector when he is in trouble. His general is a very faithful person and is a good friend. General Hector was Dariens father's best friend.

Part 2

The sun was shining directly in Dariens eyes as he ran for the ball. The way was clear, he was sure he was going to score. However, that sun, it seemed brighter than usual today. Faster, faster, if he could only see the goal posts. He could hear the crowd cheering "go Darien go". That did embarrass him a bit, after all not many kings play middle league soccer, but hey, a kid has to be a kid.

Then it happened, the sun started to spin, and Darien felt himself being lifted off the ground. The sun stopped spinning and as he fell to the ground, he yelled for help. People were staring at him when he landed. They were standing all around him and he looked up at them, very confused. Who were they?

He did not recognize any of them. In fact, what were they? Darien had never never seen such strange looking people in all of his twelve years. "Where am I" he thought out loud, and how did Iget here?

Then he remembered the sun, how bright it was shinning as he ran for the goal. It must have something to do with the sun.

Then he heard someone say "lets get back to our game". Darien asked "what game"? A small boy with the most enormous oval shaped head, said "soccer silly". "Would you like to play with us?" he said. Darien said that he would. Darien gets up off the ground and asks the boy where they are. " This is the planet Clone," said the boy, "don't you know anything". " I know the fact that I've never heard of it and I'm not from here" said Darien.The boy asked how can that be? and Darien answered you are asking the person that does not know!

Part 3

The kid with the oval head said, " We are missing a player, if you want to be on our team?" Darien said that he would and so the kid got him a sticker for his shirt, so they could tell which team he was on.

Dariens new team, The Buzzards, won the game and went out for Pizza to celebrate.

Darien still wasn't feeling good, so his new friend took him to see the doctor. The doctor gave him a full check-up. He ended up being fine, but he felt dizzy.

When they came out of the building, someone grabbed Darien and his new friend and pulled them into an alley. They were blindfolded and taken to a secret undergroun laboratory.

When the blindfold was taken off, Darien was astonished to see the technology that these people had. He was so interested that he forgot to be scared.

A very tall man asked him how he had gotten to the planet Clone. Darien aked him, "Why do you ask?"

The big guy whose name was Bruto, started to get very angry at Darien for asking him. Darien was surpised at his anger and said' "I was just wondering."

Darien told him that he really had no idea how it ahd happened but he thought it had something to do with the sun. Bruto was rather mad because it seemed as if Darien really did not know.

One of Bruto helpers came runnung in yelling, "The sun is spinning . the sun is spinning!, we're doomed!"

Bruto ordered his men to take Darien and his friend up to the surface. When they got there, Bruto told his men to take Darien's friend back home. Bruto looked at Darien who was staring at the sky as if he had seen this before. Bruto looked up and saw something coming down fast toward his head. He jumped out of the way just as General Hector landed.

"General Hector !" cried Darien "How did you get here?" General Hector explaned that he saw Darien get sucked up into the sun. So he went over to where Darien had been standing and the sun was still spinning and he got suked up too and landed here.

Darien asked him, "how long was it after I disappeared, that you got sucked up?"

"Just ten minutes Darien"said the General.

Draien replied , "but I've been here for a whole day, how can that be?"

General replied "I'm not sure".

Darien told the Genersal that the technology was better here than at home. The General thought that may be because the time went by faster here.

They both turned to see Bruto get up . Bruto asked General Hector if he had figured out how to travel between planets. General shook his head. Bruto said outloud , which he didn't know he was doing, "Shoot- now I still have to fihgure out how to travel between planets, or I'll never be able to take over the universe!"

"What!" said Darien , "Is that why you kidnapped me?" Bruto replied thatit was the reason. Bruto realized that they knew his plan, so he told them the whole story. General Hector was impresed with the plan , but told Bruto that he could not let him get away with it.

When General Hector looked at Darien again, Drien was still staring at the sun. "It's doing it again General!. I think we should say goodbye to Bruto and be on our way."

All of a sudden in a swish of hot air from the spinning sun, General Hector and Darien were caught up into the spin. Bruto watched as they disappeared, and said "I guess its back to the drawing board for me!"

Back on earth, Darien and Hector had a hard time explaining where they had been.

Part 4

When General Hecter and Darien got back thay where standing in the same soccer field. The people where still in their seats, the players still on feld and everyone was staring at them. A little boy on the team said "where were you?". Darien ordered a servant to get a microphone. When the servant got back with it he set up so Darien could tell everyone where they have been and what had happened. Everyone was puzzled at what he had said and no one ever found out how it had really happened.
A long time after, people still could not figure out how it had eally happened.
