Beep, beep, beep Genevieve's alarm clock went on. She reached over and turned it off. She got up, her coffee pot was heating.

She went and looked in the mirror, and saw that her brown face was sleepy and her black hair was a mess. When she was brushing her hair she was wondering what she would look like with her hair cut short. She decided that she would look better with her hair longer.

Putting on her spider suit, which she needs for her job, she went and got her coffee. She did not realize what her day was going to be like!

Genevieve was looking out her living room window waiting for the tram car. As she drank her coffee,she thought about how fun it would be to get a vacation. Then she noticed that her feet were rumbling,she saw why. The road above her was buckling. She saw the tram car racing toward her. She opened up the door to the tram car and stepped in. Then she went racing off to work. When she got there, she got out and her friend was standing there. She said, "I don't know if you know it or not, but the road above your house buckled, and there might be someone up there." So they hurried up to the road, and found that a man was trapped inside the buckle of the road. Genevieve's friend went to get help.

As Genevieve stood there waiting for her friend to come back, she heard the man say, "Help", in a low, weak voice. She came over to him and said, "Help is coming, just hold on", and he said, "how soon?" In a few minutes, he said "I can't wait that long!!" Then she said, "I know something I can do." The man said, "well please hurry." She reach down in her belt and pulled out a little torch, and started to cut the man free. After a few minutes she said, "there, all done." Then she said "give me your arm." The man slowly reached out his arm and said "Don't pull too hard." So Genevieve pulled gently and got him out. But before she got him out, she tied a cable around him because he did not have boots that would stick to the road, and it was a far drop to the ground. So he said, "thank you." And she said "where are you hurt?" He said, "I think my leg is broken and my ribs are too and..." Then Genevieve cut in and said. "I get the idea." Then Genevieve saw an ambulance coming, an attendant was hanging out the window. She said. "Heres the help!!!" But he didn't speak. The attendant came over and said, "He's unconscious." So they got him to the hospital. The doctor started on him right away and said, "It is going to take a while for him to heal, maybe a few months." Genevieve said that she would come and vist him every day.

The first time she went to the hospital she asked him what his name was, he said "Nick". She said that is a very pretty name, he said "Thankyou, and I also have Thankyou for helping me out of that mess". She said don’t worry about it I know you would have done the same for me. after a month of her coming to keep him company he said "You know you are very cute", she said "Well Thankyou", he said "You are welcome". after a few months of going to keep him company she started to notice that he was cute too, but she didn't say anything. When he totally healed they were good friends. She Invited him over to her house to have diner.

When Nick came over for dinner, he said, "What a lovely place you have here." Genevieve said, "It is very small." Then he said, "Aaaa no one needs a big house anyway." Then they ate dinner. After they were done, he complimented, "That was lovely." She replied, "Nick did you know that you are the first boy friend that I ever had?" Then he said, "I did not know I was your boy friend." Then he said "In that case do you want to marry me?" Her mouth dropped open and she said, "YES! I do want to marry you, and I thought you'd never ask." She gave him a hug. So they got married and had a wonderful life together.
